CHALLENGE

Gesa is the second-largest nonprofit credit union in Washington State. After merging with another credit union in 2019, Gesa teamed up with Blink to help them refresh their brand expression and apply it to a series of unique and continuous research and design engagements.

ENGAGEMENT

Over a period of 8 months, I was the Visual Designer on a team that led research and design efforts for Gesa across four workstreams:
• Gesa’s North Star digital experience (research and design)
• Design and launch an MVP banking website
• Research and design of a digital financial education center
• Executive stakeholder roadmap presentation

I worked in lockstep with our researchers to ideate and apply evidence-based solutions to each of these workstreams. I was the primary developer of Gesa’s new design system and used this to assist a dev team through the launch of the MVP website. Finally, in addition to custom illustration work, I worked with Gesa’s print and marketing contractors to develop a physical signage system for billboards and brick and mortar locations.
